 This woodland grouse likes to perch in trees. The plumage is a greyish-brown, but a distinctive black band at the tip of the tail helps identification. The hazel grouse (or hazelhen) is found in northern Europe an in most of the Beyond area, except along the coast. It flies well, with the wings making a "burrrr" sound in flight.
