This red-leaved geranium we found growing amidst the stony ground of the Plateau du Caussols. The stems, fruit and the dark calyses are hairy.

Flower Blossom.
5 petals; 14-18 mm. The flowers are a bright purplish-pink, 14-18 mm diameter, with 5 separate petals. The petals can be slightly notched and are sometimes white.
Leaves.
The leaves are trimmed in red, deeply lobed.
Habitat.
Rocks, walls, banks and shaded areas.
