Taller than the others, the Paeonia mascula grows to a height of about 90 cm.

90 cm (tall)
Flower Blossom.
14 cm dia.. The flower petals are spread out rather than cupped, and a thick cluster of yellow stamens surround a cluster of 3-5 downy follicles.
Leaves.
Dark green, hairless above and can be hairless or hairy beneath. Up to 16 leaflets (fewer than P. officinalis), broader than the other peonies and not divided.
Habitat.
Meadows, bushy areas and grassy scrub; frequently cultivated.
