There are good rock-climbing areas all over Provence and the South of France. We've listed below some of the better-known spots and a few of the places where you can get information and guides.

- The "Beaume Rousse" cliffs are at the entrance to the Gorges de la Méouge.
- 60 equiped climbs; middle and high level; covered climbing wall in the village.

- Equiped face; several difficulty levels

- The largest prepared site south of the Buëch river.
- 5 different climbing cliffs beside the village
- 250 equiped climbs, from 3 to 7; some easy sections

- Savournon (map, east of Serres)
- Ubac cliffs, being prepared; middle and high levels
- Ventavon (map, south of Barcillonnette)
- 120 climbs, levels 5-8 (most are 6-8); initiation section
