Galargues is a rather plain little village in the midst of the wine-growing region of Languedoc-Roussillon. There's a post office in the village, and a wine cooperative just out of town to the west, but that's about it.

We stayed for a week at a gîte at the western edge of the village (across from the wine coop) to visit this part of the French countryside. We enjoyed the stay, but Galargues, without café or other commerce, wasn't a daily attraction for us.
The people we met here were friendly and nice (of course). And, being the end of September, the wine harvest was in full swing (big blue grape-picking machines, not the social vendange that we like so much) so there was constant activity.
